This role, based at our Aachen (Germany) production site and Europe HQ, is the finance partner to our global manufacturing teams. The purpose of this role is to analyze our production processes and communicate results back to operating departments so they understand their impact on Gross Margin. This role will also manage our annual material standards re-setting process for Europe, coordinate activities with our Corporate Headquarters and ensure proper inventory valuation. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Director Europe and will work closely with their US counterpart.
Responsibilities:
Analysis & reporting of production variances (yields, labor, material, overhead
Development and reporting on production effectiveness metrics
Cost center actual vs plan reporting & forecasting for production cost centers
Presentation of monthly results to operating departments
Manage annual material standards resetting and inventory revaluation process including labor and overhead rates, yields, touch time, and intercompany transfer prices.
Coordinate all material standards resetting with international facilities.
Develop & analyze Gross Margin and Inventory Reserves.
Manage global inventory reconciliation process.Determination and resolution of BOM and routing errors.
Ensure proper inventory valuation.
Responsible for approving new part set up and material master view creation in SAP.Responsible for ensuring cost accounting month end close processes work correctly in SAP.
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration. MBA is preferable.
5+ years working for a Manufacturer
Knowledge of SAP (MM knowledge within SAP is preferred)
Strong Excel
Strong Communication & Presentation skills
Proven capability of financial partnering with operating departments
