Job Description

The Healthcare Solutions Outreach Specialist develops relationships with hospitals and physicians with the goal of assisting in identification and market growth for high risk PCI patients. The Healthcare Solutions Outreach Specialist will assist hospitals in utilization of tools to develop strategies to grow their patient base, referral networks and program strength. The Healthcare Solutions Outreach Specialist will be a resource to hospital and physician clients as well as field based teams. Analysis of key customer needs including market opportunity education, development and implementation of tools to assist customers in achieving market growth.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with hospitals and physicians to evaluate market growth opportunities.
  • Facilitate outreach education programs for physicians and hospitals regarding program development.
  • Provide guidance to facilities to further develop the Protected PCI program using developed tools.
  • Develop outreach education strategies to identify patients and grow Protected PCI market share
  • Develop effective communication materials that clearly explain market opportunities and options to customers.
  • Provide regular and message consistent follow up to all customers. 
  • Support sales and clinical teams as needed.   




Skills/Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Position requires a BS Degree in related field, MBA/PhD preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in hospital or physician outreach, plus 5 years related experience
  • The ability to interpret data and develop strategies for market growth. 
  • Knowledge of Healthcare industry and market trends.
  • The ability to work with, hospitals, physicians, ABIOMED sales and clinical teams, and customers is critical.  Requires strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Frequent travel (80%) required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required ( #LI-LG1 )
