Coordinates the servicing and support for all equipment within the assigned territory at the customer sites and through the in house service depot. Includes installations, preventive maintenance, corrective actions, Field Changes, software updates and product upgrades
Proactively sell/manage service contracts and preventative maintenance
Provide technical and logistical support to ABIOMED Sales and Clinical teams
Provide rotating 24/7 rotating “on call” service and support coverage for customers, distributors and ABIOMED field teams
Provide input to management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements
Assist with Complaint follow up and investigation as needed
Schedule and complete of all assigned service activities in a timely, cost efficient manner
Skills/Requirements
AS/BS or equivalent experience with 5+ years servicing and supporting medical products.
Knowledgeable with regulatory guidelines pertaining to servicing of medical devices
Strong writing, communication and selling skills
Must be well organized and have excellent customer skills and strong computer related skills (Microsoft Office applications)
Ability to work in the hospital and laboratory environments (O/R, Intensive care units, animal labs)
