Job Description

The Cardiology Account Manager will be responsible for the direct sale and management of their assigned franchise of ABIOMED products domestically. A typical franchise team would consist of a Cardiology Account Manager and Clinical Consultant(s).

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage new account development and growth of existing accounts within an established geographic territory
  2. Build Interventional Cardiology  relationships in an effort to maximize patient identification and scheduling
  3. Provide real time case support to Doctors and Cath Lab Staffs
  4. Conduct business operations in accordance with corporate policies in respect to pricing, quotes, credit terms, and expense reporting
  5. Provide timely and thorough response to customers’ product inquiries and issues
  6. Assist in identifying product line extensions or product enhancements
  1. BS degree in Life Sciences or Business or other technical discipline
  2. Minimum of 5 years outside sales cardiovascular sales experience with a proven track record of success in the Cath Lab and proven relationships with Interventional Cardiologists.
  3. Ability to work independently and exceed sales objectives.
  4. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills as well as technical and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time will be required.
