Job Description

The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IT infrastructure and for providing supervision and guidance to junior technical staff and will report to the Director of Technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

?    Build networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation & defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards

?    Maximize network performance through in-depth monitoring and by troubleshooting network problems and outages

?    Schedule upgrades by collaborating with network architects on network optimization

?    Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access

?    Stay current with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities such as reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations

?    Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects

?    Provide direct tier 3 support as needed and assist with tier 2 support technicians when called on

?    Act as the technical liaison between ASD and outside vendor’s technical, sales or support teams

Required Qualifications:

?    Minimum of four years of verifiable professional experience in a similar role

?    Numerous current and verifiable certifications

?    Great organizational and time management skills

?    Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities and

?    English speaker with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

?    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge,Skills & Abilities:

?    A background in IT in an international school setting preferred
