Job Description

The Engagement Specialist will be responsible for managing social media platforms, photography & video and will engage community and alumni members both internally and externally.

Primary Responsibilities:

Social Media

?      Manage SM presence across all channels

?      Manage SM calendars & scheduling

?      Lead effort to develop and implement social media strategy across multiple platforms (both short term and long term)

?      Work closely with contracted partners to ensure consistency and efficiency of digital campaigns

?      Work with divisions, departments, and entire community to identify, facilitate, and collect content for social media channels and campaigns

?      Support official ASD handles (athletics, changemaker, etc)

Photography & Video

?      Lead process for capturing, editing, posting, and archiving photography and video

?      Occasionally assist with on-campus photoshoots by third parties (ie Stu Williamson 2x year campus photography)

?      Occasionally assist with video shoots by third parties (i.e. planning and setup for Red Monkey, HOC, etc)

?      Manage the scheduling and storing of school photos by third-party photography company, liaise with ES/MS/HS administrative assistants for distribution

Community Engagement

?      Work with departments and divisions to generate or capture content designed to be shared with our internal and external communities via website, social media, and publications

?      Manage ASD mobile app (and team of administrators across the community) from design and strategy to execution

?      Manage CRM to develop and implement workflows and touchpoints for attraction, retention, and stewardship purposes

Alumni Engagement

?      Manage Alumni Facebook and LinkedIn pages

?      Support the development (and manage upon completion) of an Alumni portal

Internal Display

?      Ensure consistent, relevant, and mission appropriate information on main display (and displays that come online to central system)

?      Create and manage calendar for main display

Analytics

?      Monitor and analyze website and social media traffic data

?      Prepare weekly reports with recommendations (both short and long term) to DoEM

?      Work with departments to update individual pages based on analytics

Required Qualifications:

?      Familiarity with managing a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system

?      Experience managing social media campaigns and creating and managing Google Ad campaigns

?      Experience with Search Engine Optimization and with creating and implementing customer experience workflows

Terms of Employment

This position is classified as a support staff position and reports to the Director of Advancement. General working hours are from 7:45 am - 3:45 pm, Monday through Thursday and 7:45 am - 12:45 pm (on site) & 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm (remote) on Fridays. In some cases, flexibility with work hours is requested to meet the needs of the role. This position stipulates 220 working days.
