Job Description

The Standardized Testing Coordinator’s primary responsibility within the Teaching and Learning Center is to coordinate and administer academic assessments to support the school’s mission statement and meet national testing requirements. In addition, the Standardized Testing role manages data for reporting and inspection purposes, organizes professional development workshops, and supports the Office of Learning.

Primary Responsibilities:
 

?      Manage all aspects of both the School and National Agenda Parameter standardized testing requirements including:

o   Liaising with testing organizations, renewing annual licenses, ensuring testing instructions are current, managing user accounts

o   Creating accurate testing rosters, identifying different groups of students, and ensuring testing accommodations are available for students in need

o   Preparing testing schedules in collaboration with divisional Vice Principals and plan training dates for faculty

o   Creating and delivering tailored training to faculty and proctors, specific to grade levels and assessment type

o   Communicating detailed testing procedures with faculty and proctors and addressing all testing queries

o   Organizing assessment logistics and IT support and running system checks before testing

o   Managing all aspects of administering while testing, providing ongoing support to teachers and students, and resolving technical issue

o   Tracking and organizing makeup sessions

o   Preparing proctor payments

o   Generating all necessary results reports and disseminating them to end-users

?      Assist with accreditation by:

o   Assisting the Associate Director of Learning with any faculty training around the inspection process

o   Working in assigned self-assessment committees to provide various types of data to meet inspection requirements

o   Managing data from other committees or departments and translate these into inspection templates

o   Meeting with committee members and Inspectors to review self-assessment and provide data as needed during the inspection visit

o   Preparing relevant budgets and expense sheets

?      Prepare an annual testing calendar for Leadership’s approval

?      Liaise with the admissions department regarding admissions testing and testing data

?      Meet data needs of divisions and individuals, as required

?      Liaise with Data Dashboard partners

?      Other duties as assigned by the Director and Associate Director of Learning

Required Qualifications:

?      Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university

?      Computer skills with a thorough understanding of databases, Google Apps, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software

?      English speaker with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

?      Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

?      Experience in delivering training

?      Experience in an educational setting

?      Ability to liaise with different online testing providers and an understanding of educational standardized testing reports

Terms of Employment

This position is classified as a non-sponsored staff position and reports to the Curriculum Director of Teaching & Learning. The candidate must provide an NOC from their visa sponsor stating that he or she is permitted to work at ASD. Standard working hours are from 7:45 am - 3:45 pm, Monday through Thursday and Friday 7:45 am - 12:45 pm (on site) and 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm (remote). In some cases, flexibility with work hours is requested to meet the needs of the role, as this position includes some planned occasional weekend work due to testing dates. This position stipulates 186 working days.
