Job Description

As a Manager at Velvet Taco, you work within a management team of 3-6 where everyone assists in overseeing the daily operations of your assigned restaurant. The Manager’s duties include ensuring effective operations, providing the high food quality and cleanliness standards, engaging in team member training and development, reviewing financial information, and seeing to guest satisfaction.

Our Expectations

  • Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Velvet Taco’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training and follow up with new team members
  • Actively participate in ordering and monitoring inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety and cleanliness
  • Ensure secure, safe handling and transportation of funds
  • Ensure all required paperwork (forms, reports, schedules) are completed in an organized timely manner
  • Ability to fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are up to par

Minimum Qualifications

  • Legal age (18+ years old)
  • 2+ years of food service leadership management
  • Alcoholic Beverage Servers Certification (TABC/BASSET)
  • Food Handler Management Certificate
  • Hard working, outgoing, positive, and friendly attitude
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced high volume environment
  • Organized, detailed and able to follow practices and procedures
  • Results driven, trustworthy and team oriented
  • Understanding of food and equipment safety and sanitation regulations
  • Computer knowledge of Excel, Windows, POS, etc.
