As the General Manager at Velvet Taco, you are  responsible for the daily operations at your store. The General Manager’s duties include ensuring effective operations,  providing the high food quality and cleanliness standards, engaging in team member training and development, reviewing financial information and seeing to guest satisfaction.   The goal of Velvet Taco is to exceed objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, food quality and cleanliness .

Our Expectations

  • Be the expert - Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Velvet Taco’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Effectively Manage a team of 3-6 managers and 40-60+ team members
  • Maintain  all financial and cost controls including food cost, labor, P&L, ordering, repairs, daily deposits, etc.
  • Confirm all required paperwork (forms, reports, schedules) are completed in an organized and timely manner
  • Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards
  • Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate training and marketing programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Legal age (18+ years old)
  • 5+ years of food service leadership management
  • Must love Tacos
  • Alcoholic Beverage Servers Certification (TABC/BASSET)
  • Food Handler Management Certificate
  • Hard working, outgoing, positive, and friendly attitude
  • Extremely organized, detailed and able to follow practices and procedures
  • Results driven, trustworthy and team oriented
  • Understanding of food and equipment safety and sanitation regulations
  • Computer knowledge of Excel, Windows, POS, etc.
