Overview

A member of the senior management team, reports to the Chief Operations Officer, the CIO develops the IT vision with the overall business strategy of the organization.  The CIO oversees IT management, team members, and external partners to ensure that the IT infrastructure, Business Applications and Cybersecurity are working efficiently and effectively. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems. The CIO ensures that all IT assets and systems are functioning smoothly for the employees and extended workforce of the organization.

What You'll Do

 
  • Provides vision, leadership, and management for the IT services being delivered to TIBCO, including but not limited to IT infrastructure services, IT operations, IT desk side support, Business Applications development and Cybersecurity
  • Define and measure IT services performance against service levels using measurable KPIs.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages like HRIS, ERP, CRM, CPQ etc.
  • Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.
  • Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Head the IT planning and policy-making committees.
  • Direct and manage computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
  • Advise executive management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.
  • Review and approve major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment.
  • Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
  • Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments.
  • Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or related area from an accredited institution is required. Master‘s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience leading IT for an Enterprise Software company
  • Demonstrated experience with IT systems and IT management as a senior level with a sequence of increasing responsibilities in large and diverse business settings.
  • Experience with and understanding of strategic and business planning methods, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in working through major organizational change
  • A track record of successful large project implementations
  • Demonstrated business savvy to work effectively with other Executives to achieve key business and technology goals.
  • Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles
  • Sufficient vision acuity for routine computer use, and moderate to heavy reading and writing responsibilities.
  • Position requires a high level of all forms of communication skills: written, verbal, listening.
