Friends University is seeking to fill Administrative Assistant MSFT Program position in Kansas City Kansas. This position provides primary support to the MSFT Program Director in coordinating the annual calendar of administrative tasks necessary for efficient offering of the MSFT degree at the Friends University Kansas City Educational Center in Overland Park, Kansas in compliance with COAMFTE national accreditation standards. Works in cooperation with the MSFT Program Director to provide necessary performance data across program, clinical, and assessment domains and to effectively administrate the Friends University Kansas City Educational Center. Work hours are typically 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.   Thursdays typically require 9:00 am to 6:00 pm to accommodate the weekly instructional schedule.

Skills & Requirements

Three years administrative assistant or secretarial experience required; five years preferred.  Background in office management, medical or mental health environment and/or higher education desired.  Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet software, and database experience preferred (Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Excel preferred).

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary, including strong skills in collaborating positively with (a) persons of various positions and status across the University, and (b) a smaller, immediate work group. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.
