About the Position

As a member of the Foundation team, this person leads all efforts to record, analyze and recognize gifts and helps to develop data-driven strategies to improve fundraising. This person manages donor stewardship through accurate data management processes and activities by: working closely with the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO), the Directors of Development and the Hospice Gifts Officer to capture data, manage written recognition, assure timely gift follow up, and produce appropriate reports and statistics to help inform fundraising strategy. There are other duties as assigned related to teamwork on various events and mailings throughout the year.

Responsibilities

Gift Stewardship and Management

  • Use specialized software to record and analyze gifts and pledges, securities, bequests, gift annuities, life insurance policies, wire transfers, credit card transactions and gifts-in-kind.
  • Prepare receipts and acknowledgments. Through this process, oversee all gift correspondence to donors and to persons honored or recognized through gifts.
  • In collaboration with the Foundation staff, produce stewardship reports for annual reporting process and as needed.

Data Management:

  • Research and maintain current biographical information on all constituencies.
  • Confirm and keep current relevant obituary information.
  • Maintain database accuracy and integrity. Verify individual records and modify as necessary. Collaborate with different GL departments to capture data as needed.

Budget and Restricted Funds Management:

  • Maintain monthly budget statements and reconcile with monthly Finance reports.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports for board meetings and others as needed.
  • Record and track restricted fund expenses and monthly balances.

Accounting:

  • Reconcile and prepare daily and individual electronic cash receipt journals for the Finance Department.
  • Generate periodic gift reports as needed, especially for the 990 and financial statements

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of two years experience in database management or a similar role
  • Comfort in and enjoyment with managing a database and working in excel, Microsoft word, and Teams
  • Experience with Raisers Edge a plus
