Job Description

Looking for an experienced submarine electronic warfare (EW) subject matter expert (SME) with an operational background.   Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a fast learner. The ideal candidate is a retired or soon to retire senior enlisted (submarine E-6/7/8/9 ET) sailor.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the EW group for requirements definition, integration, test, training, and certification of legacy and new EW systems.
  • Represent the EW group as the SME in front of customer driven activities to include but not limited to design reviews, program reviews, formal test events, system certifications, and training events with sailors.
  • Provide guidance to the other EW team members on the specifics of how an EW system should work from a fleet operational background perspective.

 





Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with AN/BLQ-10.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix a plus.
  • Possess the abilities required to lead fleet introduction of a new electronic warfare capability including interfacing with ship’s force and the ward room.
  • Must have strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision making-skills. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Operation in an Information Technology Customer support capacity. 
  • Technical certifications are a plus (NET+, SECURITY+, CCNA, CISSP)
  • High level of knowledge of Microsoft VISIO, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

    Education/Experience

  • Proven leader with Submarine Electronic Warfare Operational experience (10+ years).
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Experience in testing of submarine electronic warfare systems.

 

This position requires the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
