Progeny Systems Corporation is seeking a full-time Facility Security Officer (FSO) for our Middletown, RI office.  The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will responsible for NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual compliance of the Progeny Systems Middletown, RI  facility. In addition to NISP compliance, the FSO will also function in an additional role overseeing the security administration of programs with special customer requirements. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

This position will be responsible for the overall facility security program, including the following duties:

• Process new hire clearance requests and re-investigations through JPAS.
• Receive, transfer, control and ship all classified material for the facility.
• Provide employees with security awareness education as required by the NISPOM and Corporate.
• Process all visit requests, both incoming and outgoing for the facility.
• Maintain security related policies & procedures for the facility.
• Ensure NISP, corporate, and government compliance.
• Maintain and issue company badge access cards for the facility.
• Prepare summaries of security incidents, violations, suspicious contacts, and any other adverse information for local and corporate management review. 
• Collaborate closely with ISSM to ensure RMF compliance with Accredited Information Systems.
• Respond to intrusion alarms as necessary. 
• Support DSS SVA's/visits and implements any required corrective actions.
• Maintain facility and personnel information in JPAS/DISS and NISS. 
• Work with Corporate HR to in/out process employees

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•  Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication and time management skills, and ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel. 
• Must have a solid understanding of industrial security and NISPOM requirements and be familiar with working in a government contractor environment. 
• Prior experience in an engineering environment strongly preferred. 
• FSO Certifications strongly preferred.                                                                                          
• COMSEC knowledge with Policy Manual 3-16 and COMSEC trained a plus
• SIMS experience a plus
• Applicant must have an ACTIVE DoD Security Clearance.

Education/Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business or a related field required. 

·       Successful candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years prior FSO experience and excellent customer service skills. 

This position require the applicant to hold and maintain an ACTIVE  DoD Clearance.
