Progeny Systems is seeking a Technical lead for software development – supporting new technologies for the US Navy, from requirements development to validation.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Design software architectures and lead the development of software solutions
• Define and enforce technical standards for software development
• Manage an agile software development process
• Perform well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously
• Provide technical mentoring to junior personnel
• Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to program management and Navy customer team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Greater than 5 years’ experience in. NET or Java web development (.NET with C# preferred).
• Experience with n-tiered web application design with database back-end.
• Experience with .NET, C#, JavaScript, T-SQL, and XML.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Development and design principles
• Experience with Agile software development processes
• Experience as technical lead responsible for software design and development

Education

• Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• 8570/Security+ Certification preferred
• Greater than 5 years of engineering experience required.

This position requires the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
