Job Description

Qualified applicants will be able to contribute in multiple facets of the field operations by being relied on to conduct test, debug/troubleshooting, inspection, connector and wiring repair, and operation of a variety of test and assembly equipment with proficiency.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Sets up and tests production products to ensure proper operation per established test criteria.
  • Recognizes failures and set up problems, isolates problems, and takes appropriate action to resolve those problems.
  • Operates oscilloscopes, generators, meters, power supplies, service monitors and test fixtures, and understands their use and function.
  • Troubleshoots electronics down to the module level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction
  • Performs minor repairs to cables, connectors, and electronic sub-assemblies, and performs circuit card replacements to return unit to operational state.
  • Keeps accurate records for build information, anomalies, defects and test data.
  • Maintains all testing and troubleshooting related equipment.
  • Contributes to the workplace organization initiatives.
  • Provides feedback to manufacturing engineers on ways to improve procedural steps and process implementation.

 

 

 

 





Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Preference will be given to candidates that possess qualifications in:

  • IPCJ-STD-001 Class 3
  • IPC-7711
  • IPC-7721
  • Holds or able to obtain a DoD Security clearance and routinely access military installations.
  • Exhibits basic computer skills.

 

Education/Experience

Two to five year minimum experience in an Engineering Technician role or related position.

 

This position may require the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
