Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia, seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach courses in Consumer Economics. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate teaching techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for each economics course offered.

Applicants must be available to teach a day class.  This position requires using appropriate teaching, testing, and grading techniques; demonstrating current knowledge of the subject area; using effective written and oral communication skills; maintaining educational records; using technology appropriate to the subject taught; and evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree  in Consumer Economics, or a Master's degree with a concentration in Consumer Economics (18+ graduate hours in Consumer Economics is required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Available to teach on Fridays during the Spring 2019 Semester
• Consumer Economics teaching experience at the college level
