Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia, seeks a Director of Institutional Effectiveness. The Director of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for a broad range of duties in the principal areas of accreditation and strategic planning, assessment, evaluation, research , data analysis, grants management, supervision and management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Directs the design and execution of plans for maintaining accredited status for the college, as well as program specific accreditations, certifications, and licensures; prepares accreditation documentation files for review by accreditation agency staff; prepares and submits annual reports as required; provides guidance to instruction administration concerning accreditation matters; provides accreditation training as required 2. Coordinates and oversees the strategic planning process for the college; advises college administration and other staff on progress, problems, solutions and desirable changes in relation to strategic planning and quality assurance; schedules and conducts meetings to present, explain, and discuss the strategic plan with individuals and groups; provides input in college policies and procedures; compiles and distributes annual reports, establishes time frames needed to complete projects according to federal, state, external agency, and college deadlines. 3. Coordinates assessment, evaluation, and research efforts that support mission fulfillment, college planning, policy formation, quality assurance, and decision-making. 4. Develops, administers, and analyzes internal surveys and related reports (e.g., Student Satisfaction Survey, Alumni Survey, Employer Survey, surveys of faculty/employee opinion, etc.) 5. Coordinates the administration of student evaluation of instruction; sets timelines in consultation with deans and Vice President for Academic Affairs; develops evaluations in consultation with department heads and deans; prepares related reports; maintains and implements related software (e.g., Class Climate) 6. Coordinates the administration of national surveys (e.g., CCSSE, SENSE, etc.) and communicates results to the campus community 7. Coordinates and oversees the compilation and reporting of data as requested by external agencies (e.g., state/federal agencies, IPEDS, Complete College Georgia, Achieving the Dream, etc.) 8. Coordinates (in consultation with the Vice President for Academic Affairs) annual departmental assessments/reports of educational outcomes 9. Extracts, analyzes, and reports data as requested by internal constituents (e.g., department heads, leadership teams, Achieving the Dream Committees, deans, etc.) 11. Extracts, analyzes, and reports data as requested by external constituents (e.g., state/federal agencies, IPEDS, Complete College Georgia, etc.) 12. Identifies and performs qualitative or quantitative analyses that are appropriate for the research questions asked and for the type of data available 13. Identifies and develops data displays that are appropriate for the research questions asked and for the type of data available 14. Oversees the extraction and compilation of data and publication of college-wide reports such as but not limited to the annual Fact Book and Service Area County Profiles. 15. Serves as a point of contact for the Carl D. Perkins grant; coordinates and/or implements activities related to the Carl D. Perkins grant, including but not limited to implementing the Perkins five-year plan; assuring (in conjunction with the Vice President for Finance and Administration) that proper internal fiscal controls are in place; submitting Perkins budget proposals and amendments; collecting data on special populations; tracking performance on core indicators, and assuring implementation of improvement strategies 16. Serves as a point of contact for the Performance Accountability System (PAS) and the Performance Accountability Review system (PAR); coordinates and/or implements these two TCSG assessment and evaluation programs designed for assuring compliance with state and federal standards associated with Perkins funding
