Job Description

Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks a part-time Lab Assistant for the Automotive Collision Repair program for the Athens Campus in Athens, Georgia. The successful applicant will be expected to assist the Program Chair in the upkeep and operation of the automotive collision repair lab/shop.

The part-time Lab Assistant reports to the Automotive Collision Repair Program Chair.   This position is intended to enhance student success by facilitating hands on oversight and guidance,  as well as maintaining a cleaner, more organized lab setting.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Student shop activities
  • General housekeeping
  • Tool organization
  • Inventory maintenance
  • Any other duties that support stated initiatives as outlined by Athens Technical College and the Technical College System of Georgia

Skills/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of the following, or equivalent, courses:  ACRP 1000, ACRP 1005, ACRP 1010

The applicant must be a current or prior student in good standing, of the Automotive Collision Repair Program at Athens Technical College.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
Basic automotive collision repair experience, knowledge of collision repair tools and the safe use therein, ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds or more).
