Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia, is seeking qualified candidates for a Federal Work Study – Animal Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory Assistant for the Veterinary Technology Program. This person will be responsible to the VT Program Chair and Faculty members as assigned.

Skills/Requirements | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
To be eligible for this position, candidates must be a current student, AND be eligible for Pell Grant, AND be enrolled for 6 credit hours for the current term. In addition, candidates must have satisfactorily completed: Animal Anatomy & Physiology (VETT 1060), OR Anatomy & Physiology I/II (BIOL2113/BIOL2114), OR Biology II (BIOL 1112). A strong knowledge base in anatomy & physiology is preferred, and the candidate must be comfortable working hands-on with cadaverous materials & various anatomical specimens. Working with laboratory specimens & equipment requires manual dexterity, therefore prior experience or a background of demonstrated practical skills is preferred. Candidate must have reliable transportation or mode of transport between Athens Technical College’s main campus & UGA-College of Veterinary Medicine’s Gross Anatomy Laboratory in Athens, GA.
