Job Description

     ***NOTE: THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION. M-F,  8-2pm  **

   Seeking part time admin support (30 hrs a week) to provide office management, human resource administration, direct engineering project support and security management support.  Assembles and analyzes fairly complex information or data. Operates under general supervision.  Requires a high school degree and a minimum of 6 years experience in the field or related area.  An advanced degree can substitute for minimum required years of experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Order parts and equipment required by engineering, accept ordered parts into material control system and track parts ordering status.
  • Documents material receivables in resource planning tool.
  • Responsible for reception and telephone duties, including signing for front desk packages
  • Prepare office and travel expense reports.
  • Acts as liaison with other departments and outside agencies. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
  • Track material inventory and consumption by engineering staff via material control, as needed and communicate with other Progeny locations for material transfers.
  • Sorts and distributes mail.
  • Oversees administrative procedures and processes for assigned area.
  • Manages paperwork including scheduling, HR, non-disclosure agreements, report numbers and subcontracts.
  • Performs simple assembly tasks to support prototype builds.
  • Schedules and organizes activities such as meetings, travel conferences and department activities for all members of the department.
  • Maintain classified storage container and daily checks.
  • Participate in yearly security reviews with Defense Security Service (DSS).
  • Greet and badge all visitors into the facility.

 

 





Skills/Requirements

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.
  • Able to multi-task and track the status of all ongoing projects as well as prioritize among the above duties.
  • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of secretarial, office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through 3+ years of experience.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Education/Experience

Requires a high school degree plus a minimum of 6 years experience in the field or related area. An advanced degree can substitute for minimum required years of experience.

 

Applicant must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
