Job Description

Progeny Systems is seeking an experienced computer programmer. Job duties include but are not limited to; programming Interactive Technical Manuals (IETM) using XML, HTML, XSL, and S1000D in various operating systems and hardware platforms. Manage database integration with interactive programs and courseware technologies, which include MySQL (including SQL queries and stored procedures) and Microsoft Access.

 

 





Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience developing web sites and applications with expertise in ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, OLE Automation, Action Scripting (Flash), XML, XSL, XSLT, PHP, DOM (Document Object Model), HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript in Windows and Unix environments.
  • Experience programming Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) in HTML and S1000D environments.
  • Expertise in implementing relational database theory.
  • Experience with the Unix/Linux based environments.
  • Experience with advanced Flash Application Development (database/XML/JavaScript integration).
  • Experience with standard industry graphic and WYSIWYG software.

 

Education/Experience

BS in Computer Science or 5-10 years computer programming experience

 

Clearance:

Must qualify to obtain a DoD security clearance
