Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks an Adjunct Instructor for its Emerging Technologies program. Teaching assignment will be located at the Athens Main Campus. The instructor is responsible for the teaching of Python Computer Language and Introduction to Personal Robotics as well as lab activities. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for each Emerging Technologies course offered. This position reports to the Dean of Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree in Computer Science or Robotics; two (2) years of successful project completion using Python or three  (3) years of experience working with robotics under 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a specialization in mobile technology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics with an emphasis on robots under 50 pounds. An Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering would be highly preferred.
