Job Description

Friends University is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach the Principles of Finance course for the Business Management program.  The candidate must be able to teach adult undergraduate students in Hutchinson, Kansas.  Classes are 5:30 - 9:30 pm this summer on Thursday nights.

This course develops the tools used for financial decisions, such as ratio analysis, time value of money, financial planning, capital budgeting, and valuation. Students are introduced to the issues of capital structure, dividend policy, financing, and agency problems in the corporation.

The Business Management program uses a unique blend of cross-disciplinary components, students are prepared to enter or continue in the exciting and fast-paced field of business growth and development.  The Business Management program includes components focused on managerial concepts as well as quantitative controls at both the strategic and operational levels through exploration in the disciplines of improved processes, quantitative decision-making, problem solution development, information systems, accounting, business law, project development, communications, and marketing.  Domestic and global aspects of business management in diverse cultures as well as ethical issues are integrated throughout various courses. 





Required:

Master's in Finance

Business-related field acceptable IF an additional 18 hours in accounting courses have been completed.
