Job Description

Friends University is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach the Microeconomics course for the Business Management program.  The candidate must be able to teach adult undergraduate students of the Prairie Band Nation.  Located north of Topeka Kansas for Thursday night classes, 6 - 10 pm to begin fall 2018.

This course is an introduction to the market mechanism and economic thinking.  The course also includes topics such as resource markets, trade, profit maximization, industry types, taxation, and types of costs and benefits to the firm and society.

The Business Management program uses a unique blend of cross-disciplinary components, students are prepared to enter or continue in the exciting and fast-paced field of business growth and development.  The Business Management program includes components focused on managerial concepts as well as quantitative controls at both the strategic and operational levels through exploration in the disciplines of improved processes, quantitative decision-making, problem solution development, information systems, accounting, business law, project development, communications, and marketing.  Domestic and global aspects of business management in diverse cultures as well as ethical issues are integrated throughout various courses.  





Required:

Master's in Accounting

Business-related field acceptable IF an additional 18 hours in accounting courses have been completed.

 

Preferred:

CPA or other designated certification preferred but not required.
