Job Description

Friends is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach adult graduate students face to face and online for the Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS) professional degree.  This degree is designed to provide students with the technical and business skills to advance their careers in information systems - the fastest growing sector in the economy according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  During the program of study, students focus on the strategic role that information systems play in a business organization.  Students gain the knowledge and experience needed to assume a leadership position in the information systems field.  With emphasis on current research activities in the field of information systems, the MMIS program offers current topical studies that enable students to understand complex and dynamic environments in which information systems are used.

This course is the study of information system security and privacy policy issues. This course provides the foundation for understanding the key issues associated with protecting information assets, determining the levels of protection and response to security incidents, and designing a consistent, reasonable information security system, with appropriate intrusion detection and reporting features. Areas emphasized include current issues, future directions, and research activities related to information security, risk management, and privacy policy topics





Master's degree in information security or related field is required.

Two years' teaching experience is preferred.
