Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks an Adjunct Instructor for the Continuing Education Nurse Aide program for the non-credit CNA program. 

This is a part-time PRN adjunct position requiring a flexible schedule and travel between multiple locations as needed.

 Minimum Qualifications

RN with at least two (2) years full time professional experience; must have current active Georgia Nursing License in good standing with Georgia Board of Nursing; license cannot have the following status codes: suspended, expired, lapsed, pending, renewal pending, revoked or surrendered; one (1) year of nursing experience providing direct patient care in a long-term care facility (nursing home) within the last five (5) years;  experience providing care for the elderly or disabled in a health or home care setting; and must have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.

Note: All instructors are required to attend the Georgia Train-the-Trainer workshop and present a certificate of completion.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the duties of the CNA; and has worked closely with or has previously worked as a CNA.
