Job Description

Provides support for the test and development of the Payload Control System.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Analyze current systems engineering documentation and processes.
  • Author and maintain system test procedures and documentation
  • Thoroughly test and evaluate the PCS for compliance with test procedures and system requirements
  • Create, maintain, and manage Program Trouble Reports
  • Assist in the review of new systems engineering documentation such as requirements specifications, design descriptions, and customer presentations
  • Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate project/program issues to management, as necessary.
  • Required to work other than 1st shift hours and weekends as necessary.




Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Prior experience in the test and evaluation of Submarine Combat Control Weapon Systems or minimum of five years Submarine Combat Control Weapon System operation.

Battlestation/Weapon Control, TTWCS/Strike Team a plus.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Working knowledge of IBM Rational DOORS is a plus.

Familiarity with information architecture and Navy Information Systems a plus.

 

 

Education/Experience

BS. In Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Engineering, or equivalent Submarine Combat Control experience required.

1-15 Years' experience in the test and evaluation of Submarine Combat Control Weapon Systems or minimum of five years Submarine Combat Control Weapon System operation.

 

This position requires  an ACTIVE DoD Clearance.
