Job Summary

Looking for a motivated and experienced software engineer to lead and contribute to the development of software projects for a variety of applications. Sound knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices is required, experience with task/project management tools and processes (e.g., JIRA) is a plus. Prior experience with computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms and applications, databases, and/or a strong math background are a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the management and execution of the entire software development process from requirements generation to specification, implementation, documentation, and maintenance / life cycle management. Must work closely with other systems and software engineers, including government and/or customer personnel as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Expert knowledge of C++, Python, or Java required, experience with libraries such as OpenCV , Boost, BLAS, etc. are a plus. Experience with CUDA/GPU programming is a plus. Experience with databases such as SQL or Mongo is a plus. Experience with version control preferred and a willingness to learn git/Mercurial required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be willing and able to work both individually and in teams, including leading and managing a groups of other developers as needed.

Education

BS Degree or higher in computer science / computer engineering required, MS/PhD preferred. Exceptional applicants with other degrees (e.g., systems engineering, information systems, applied math) or 10+ years of experience and a strong track record of past performance with references will be considered.

This position requires the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
