Job Description

To provide functional support to multiple large-scale builds supported by the Project Management Office. Support overall quality objectives using company specific tools and techniques. To provide accurate and effective quality assurance, customer reporting, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Performance of all inspections and review of testing results on active networks.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive network plans.
  • Preparation of pre-construction documentation – network plan, material take-off sheets and unit assignments.
  • Assures that the contractual obligations for testing and record keeping are adhered to.
  • Completes and assembles all network completion paperwork.
  • Liaison with customer QA personnel.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scopes, identifies potential issues, and devises contingency plans as required.

Requirements

Work Requirements:

  • Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years operational experience.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details.
  • Read and understand telecommunication network drawings.
  • Fiber optic splicing experience.
  • Knowledge to work with Microstation and Adobe Acrobat Editor.
  • Knowledge in planning and design of telecommunication networks an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Good Interpersonal skill and the ability to maintain effective and respected work relations.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Superb customer service skills.
  • Good oral and written communication.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
