NASB's Mortgage Sales Trainee program is targeting experienced sales industry professionals as well as recent college graduates who are interested in learning the mortgage sales industry from the ground floor up through a comprehensive and hand's-on sales training program.  Candidates selected to participate in this program will be exposed to a one-on-one and personalized mortgage sales training program at our Residential Lending Center in Kansas City, MO.  Trainees will be eligible for a base salary plus commission during training program. 

NASB continues to be one of the top nationwide Internet mortgage lenders in the country having originated over $5 Billion in mortgage loans in the last 3 years alone- During that time, each of our Loan Originators has averaged over $21 Million in closed loan volume per year. 

Responsibilities as an Internet Loan Consultant include:

Solicit and sell mortgage loans to consumers across the nation, 100% of all leads are provided by the bank. Contact consumers via telephone and E-mail, sell loans in a fashion consistent with division profitability standards. Work closely with processors, underwriters and closers to document the credit file of each applicant. Maintain compliance on each file. Follow through and assist with the processing and closing of loans. LC will be responsible for a minimum monthly loan volume production goal as determined by management. Internet lenders will not actively solicit local mortgage business.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week. Some evening and weekend hours required

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
  • 2-5 years sales or financial services experience
  • Effective business communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills – must be detail-oriented and thorough
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; Ability to effectively interact with individuals in all areas of the bank
  • Ability to develop and present information in varied mediums
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills and understanding
  • Computer literate; experience using Microsoft Office applications
