Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst is responsible for developing content and delivery systems for financial reporting and analysis, preparing complex financial performance analysis, assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes, and preparing accounting reconciliations.  This position is located in the Minneapolis – St. Paul Area. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Perform analysis of financial information and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Preparation of various schedules to support the financial information presented.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure information is presented logically and consistently.
  • Completion of special projects as assigned by management.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

 

  • Proficiency in Excel, including use of advanced functions and ability to analyze large datasets efficiently.
  • Ability to present results of complex analysis clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deliverables against deadlines.
  • Advanced computer literacy.

 

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE

 

  • BS or BA in Accounting, Business, finance or related discipline. 
  • Additional qualifications desired, but not necessary, include:
    • Some solid experience in a finance department or function, including financial reporting, general ledger/reconciliation controls, and budgeting processes.
    • Experience with multi-entity financial reporting systems such as Intacct.
    • Experience with SaaS accounting.
