Our program serves students ages&nbsp;6 to 13 years between the hours of 1:00 am to 6:00 pm.&nbsp; The group leader position will work with the individual children and groups as designated by program needs.</p> <p> <strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li> Plan lessons and activities;</li> <li> Set up and prepare daily activities;</li> <li> Attend bi-weekly staff meetings;</li> <li> Collaborate and support as a team member;</li> <li> Mentor individual youth and monitor their participation;</li> <li> Follow all DEEC group leader practices;</li> <li> Administer and keep records related to the program;</li> <li> Track and update all efforts and student progress using Efforts To Outcomes software, as well as maintaining all other required records;</li> <li> Participate in assigned trainings</li> <li> Adhere to all protocols and norms for communication and professional conduct, e.g. Email and Phone Communication Protocol, Communication Norms;</li> <li> Fulfill all outlined and related functions in a professional, timely, and thorough manner;</li> <li> Complete other duties related to this position as assigned by your direct supervisor.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <p> The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications listed below. The qualifications listed are considered minimum qualifications, unless noted otherwise.</p> <p> <strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li> A Bachelor or&nbsp;Associate&nbsp;Degree and three months of experience working with school age children; OR&nbsp;a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of experience working with school age-children, including three months of supervised experience at school-age child care program;</li> <li> First aid/CPR certified;.</li> <li> At least 18 years of age</li> <li> Nine months experience with school-age children including three months supervised experience at school-age child care program;</li> <li> Must function independently and as a member of a team;</li> <li> Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel,&nbsp;Outlook;</li> <li> Experience working with performance data-base preferred;</li> <li> Desire to work in a mission driven organization that is undergoing organizational change;</li> <li> Ability to take initiative and prioritize work, highly organized.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>EMPLOYMENT &amp; BENEFITS</strong></p> <p> As per College Bound Dorchester Policy.</p> <p> <strong>CLASSIFICATION</strong></p> <p> Temporary, Administrative Calendar, Non-Exempt</p> <p> <strong>SALARY &amp; HOURS</strong></p> <ul> <li> Salary is commensurate with education and experience;</li> <li> Full-Time; Program operates Monday &ndash; Friday, 1:00am &ndash; 6:00pm</li> </ul> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p align="center"> College Bound Dorchester Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
