The Valdosta campus of Georgia Military College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty in the discipline of Education.
Qualified applicants must hold a Masters degree in Early Childhood, Middle Grades, or Secondary Education or a Masters degree with 18 graduate semester or 30 graduate quarter hours in early childhood, middle grades, or secondary education. Degrees and/or coursework in adult education, higher education, education administration and/or workforce/occupational/technical education do not meet the requirements for certification.
GMC Valdosta operates on the quarter system offering five accelerated terms per year. The campus serves approximately 2,100 students annually and employs 46 full-time employees and numerous part-time employees. Courses are offered at the Valdosta Campus and Moody AFB during the morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours. Some courses are offered in a web enhanced format designed to provide a specific ratio of traditional in class instruction with online learning. Adjunct faculty contracts are for 8 weeks; renewable upon availability of classes and satisfactory job performance.
The review process will commence immediately and continue until the necessary positions have been filled. Application packets must include curriculum vita or resume, a statement of teaching philosophy, a completed GMC application, official transcripts from all colleges attended and three letters of recommendation.
