Job Description

Analyzes changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change. Coordinates with customers and manufacturers to determine a process for change reporting. Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.

Under general direction, responsible for effectively tracking, logging, categorizing, and maintaining changes made against the accepted baseline(s) standards. Develops, distributes, and tracks all change packages resulting from approved Configuration Control Board action.  Provides daily support and direction to staff as to change status requirements, deadlines, and problems.  May be tasked to develop and implements quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization.  Establishes and maintains a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assists in the evaluation.  Conducts and/or participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. Reports to a supervisor or project manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Skills & Requirements


  • Experience supporting WSMIS or related USAF systems highly desired
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years work experience or 3 years experience with relevant professional certification.
  • US Citizen capable of receiving a NAC.
