Job Description

He/She should add to the group’s expertise in the formulation development of different parenteral dosage forms for small molecules, peptides, hydrogels, and biologics to include liquids, lyophilized powders, emulsions, suspensions, and liposomes.

This position requires the ability to manage and supervise direct reports while independently completing hands-on projects:

  • Design, supervision, and/or execution of laboratory experiments within a cGMP environment
  • Supporting the Manufacturing Department in tech transfers and any problem solving activities
  • Oversight of HPLC method transfer/development/validation, and utilization of various physic-chemical analysis techniques such as DSC, TGA, dynamic light scattering, laser diffraction
  • Oversight of laboratory management and safety
  • Writing of development study protocols, reports, and other technical documents
  • Creating SOPs, method validation protocols, analytical methods, and method validation reports
  • Work closely with QA and other departments to maintain and improve Quality Systems
  • Assist Business Development in aligning client’s expectations with Avrio’s expertise and abilities
  • Work effectively with the Project Management Team to address client demands
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or management



Skills & Requirements

B.S. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related disciplines, or the equivalent education and experience with a minimum of 6 years in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and manage complex projects independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with collaborators, clients and personnel, who may have different levels of technical knowledge and understanding
