Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Project Manager to support the Strategic Command Center (SCC) at Ft. Belvoir.

Project Management duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Life cycle management for PM I3MP assigned programs
  • Review and coordination with PM I3MP management of program documentation for Milestone and In-Process Reviews (IPR)
  • Project management
  • Project implementation and oversight
  • IT planning and design and upgrade of facilities
  • Strategic Command Center (SCC) Support
  • Configuration / Change Management
  • Baseline Cost and/or Life Cycle Cost Estimates
  • Acquisition Plans
  • Risk Assessments
  • System Training Plans
  • Analysis of program system components during all phases of the program’s life cycle

Skills & Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline  
  • At least 10 – 15 years general experience with project management services used to manage program resources for government programs or similar programs relevant to the PM I3MP
  • Familiar with Army regulations and the DoD 5000 series and requirements for effective life cycle management of government programs
  • TS / SCI Clearance 

Familiarity with the following I3MP type tasks:

  • Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Installations
  • Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) System Installations
  • Unified Communications
  • Transmission Facilities (Multiplexors, Switching Components, Information Transfer Nodes (ITN’s)
  • Common Base-Wide Backbone Transport Networks
  • Links from Backbone Networks to specific End Building Switches  (EBN’s)
  • Interfaces to External and Internal Networks
  • Components required to implement the various Wide Area Network (WAN)
  • Transport Services (Data, Voice, Video, etc.)
  • Land Based Communications Installations
  • Implementation of Wireless Technologies
  • Outside Plant (OSP) Infrastructure Installations
  • Inside Plant (ISP) Infrastructure Installations
  • Primary and Standby Power Solution Installations
  • Transportation of equipment and personnel from CONUS and SWA to Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq
  • Kuwaiti Sponsorship for key personnel
  • Storage facilities in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait for issuance of materials in support of PMs acquisition and logistics requirements
  • Technical Control Facility (TCF) Data Migrations
  • OSP/ISP Building Entrance Terminal (BET) Installations
  • Cross Connect Installations
  • USC-60, V-SNAP, and DKET Satellite Terminal Interfaces
  • Long-Haul Transmission Service Delivery Systems
  • Transportable/Re-Locatable Mini, Small, Medium, Large Main Communications Facility (MCF) Installations

General experience should consist of leading government project or program efforts in a DoD PMO or Product Manager environment or implementations related to large-scale IT-related projects.
