For more information, visit <a href="http://www.timmons.com">www.timmons.com</a>.</p> <p> <br /> <strong>We are currently seeking&nbsp;an experienced&nbsp;Project Engineer&nbsp;to join&nbsp;our&nbsp;Northen Virginia Office to oversee and produce stormwater related work.</strong></p> <p> The Project Engineer will:</p> <ul> <li> Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technology.</li> <li> Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilize computers in order to solve problems.</li> <li> Prepares specifications material through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project.</li> <li> Works to complete design details and plan sets.</li> <li> Performs research and writes objective summary reportsupon completion of the project work.</li> <li> Assists in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.</li> <li> Completes field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.</li> <li> Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul>

Skills & Requirements

<p> &nbsp;The Project Engineer should have the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> A bachelors or master&#39;s degree in civil engineering or scientific area, and have E.I.T in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business. PE preferred.</li> <li> Sustainable, low-impact development design experience&nbsp;and stormwater retrofit design experience is desired</li> <li> Modeling and MS4 permitting compliance experience is desired</li> <li> Working knowledge of CADD and or civil 3D software. (Civil 3D preferred)</li> <li> 3 to 5&nbsp;years of design/engineering experience, preferably in stormwater-related work.</li> <li> Having a background in watershed modeling, floodplain analysis or dam safety analysis, would be desired</li> </ul> <p> <strong><strong>Timmons Group is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
