Come be a part of the next generation of innovations to one of the world&rsquo;s most important industries!</p> <p> <strong>Job Function </strong>- Candidate will be helping test various mobile platforms in Omnitracs&#39; Integration and System Test Department. The candidate will be responsible for executing test cases for several features on our Mobile Computing platforms. Engineers will have the opportunity to get in at the <u>ground floor</u> on a Systems Integration and Testing team.</p> <p> <strong>Responsibilities </strong>- The ability to execute test cases based on high-level instructions is required. The candidate is expected to possess the ability to perform exploratory testing related to defined test cases in order to extend coverage where necessary. Must be comfortable working in a lab environment which includes setting up and maintaining defined test environments and executing tests on applications / protocols developed across multiple platforms. <p> <strong>Skills/Experience</strong>:</p> <p> Required:</p> <ul> <li> Candidate should have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders on a project to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner.</li> <li> Exposure to: <ul style="list-style-type: circle;"> <li> OS: WinXP embedded, WinCE, Android</li> <li> IO: BIOS, Analog/Digital I/O, Accelerometer</li> <li> Communications: Cellular CDMA/UMTS data calls, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth, GPS</li> <li> Scripting: Perl, Shell(batch, PowerShell)</li> </ul> </li> <li> Familiarity with: <ul style="list-style-type: circle;"> <li> Testing complex embedded systems, communications protocols, integrating software sub-systems involving real time and non-real time environments.</li> <li> WindowsXP, WindowsCE, and RTOS or VxWorks.</li> <li> Communications protocols and GPS.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p> <strong>Educational Requirements </strong></p> <ul> <li> Required: Bachelor&rsquo;s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.</li> <li> Preferred: Master&rsquo;s of Science in Electrical Engineering.</li> </ul> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> Omnitracs, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of any status or condition protected by applicable federal, state, or local municipal law.</p>
