Junior Account Management Role
ACTIVE Network is currently seeking highly driven and proven sales / customer facing performers with excellent customer service and leadership skills to help nurture and develop our Parks & Recreation customers throughout North America. 
This enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative will have the opportunity to work directly with Active’s Parks & Recreation, YMCA and Higher Education Accounts and craft how they can best leverage our solutions.  They will work directly with our Account Managers and support them in navigating enterprise level accounts, pitching the value of our solutions and managing their revenue and closing deals.  
A key element of this role will be managing the interaction and assisting in the delivery of services to these accounts from all functional teams within Active.  The individual will have a strong ability to navigate and build relationships within all of the critical departments of our organization to assist in providing world class service, revenue generation and the closing of business.
Previous government sales experience, in addition to technology sales experience, is desirable.  Working and supporting the Account Management team it will be imperative for this person to be able to build relationships and work directly with the executive management of these accounts and will entail hands on experience creating solutions based on in-depth understanding of customers’ needs and requirements.

  • Entrepreneurial mentality with focus on developing and growing existing business through upsell and SaaS revenue generation
  • Strong consultative relationship building with existing clients
  • Building trust, loyalty and solid long-term relationships with key decision-makers
  • Conducting “needs analysis” for clients, understanding buying motives and delivering the right solution for clients’ evolving business requirements
  • Be an expert in Active’s solutions & strategies 
  • Navigate through large organizations with complex structures, identifying key players in the account. 
  • Assist Account Managers develop and execute on account strategies 
  • Work closely with Active’s functional teams including finance, support and consulting to ensure timely delivery of services and resolution of issues 
  • Manage sales for certain aspects of the account 
  • Pipeline management and forecasting

Skills & Requirements

Skills and Experience Necessary: 
  • 1 - 2 years business-to-business sales / consulting experience with a proven, successful track record 
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer-focused, strong communication, goal oriented, and self-motivated team player
  • Excellent time management, organizational and problem solving/analytical skills
  • Ability to deliver on growth, selecting and qualifying opportunities, and achieving sales objectives within customer accounts
  • Knowledge of the local government market and procurement methods an asset
  • Ability to learn, use and understand technology and new computer applications quickly
  • Experience managing strategic account relationships 
  • Superior communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, meeting organization and facilitation and strong follow-up.  
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with clients
  • Assisting in the close of business.
