Job Description

Department Summary:

Executes job plans by coordinating and scheduling assignments, bidding, engineering, opening job numbers, and coordinating the materials logistics, crews, and tools required to complete projects on time and within budget. Acts as a single point of contact for the customer, sales, operations, and other internal AFL departments on fixed bid projects. Prepares and submits customer-required status reports and project deliverables.

Position Summary:

Responsible for projects with a combined total, or workload, of $1.5 Million and assumes administrative control of assigned projects. Manage and report the current status of a fixed bid project schedule, scope, and budget/cost in an accurate and timely manner.

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Active fixed bid job review.
  • Customer reporting and interaction.
  • Risk management.
  • Records updates and documentation.
  • Problem solving.
  • Materials management.
  • Site surveys and visits.
  • Quality checks.
  • Job status reporting.
  • Forecasting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Some college/ Associate's degree.
  • Plus 2 years related experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio.
  • Project planning and control, efficient project scheduling, cost planning and performance.
  • Basic knowledge of project management concepts.
  • Think critically and problem solve.
  • Handle confidential/ sensitive information with discretion.
  • Good judgment.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Customer service skills.

Work Requirements:

  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Light physical effort (usually lifting/moving 25 pounds).
