ISG is looking for an experienced IT professional to join our Professional Services team as a Senior Systems Engineer. This position will work regionally as a high end presales support to multiple ISG offices and could be located in either Wichita, Kansas City, or St. Louis.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Client Opportunity meetings as a technical expert
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Team to grow ISG’s business
  • Assist in growing ISG’s business by leveraging contacts in local IT market
  • Write scopes of work and manage projects as needed
  • Identify, design, implement, and support technology solutions for ISG customers
  • Provide ongoing support of new and existing network system and products
  • Train customers on new products and applications
  • Create and maintain network and systems documentation
  • Complete ConnectWise data entry in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Participate in IT-related projects as requested by management
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, and keep current on technology products
  • Acquire and maintain certain technical certifications, as assigned and required by ISG and its customers, including, but not limited to:
    • Cisco UCS
    • HP Services
    • Dell Services
    • MS Server OS, MS Exchange, MS Active Directory
    • VMware
    • Citrix
    • CommVault
    • NetApp
  • Travel may be required to client sites. Must pass driving record check and be insurable under ISG’s insurance carrier
     

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong written and Oral communications
  • Customer Service focus including solid judgment, ethics, and professionalism
  • Ability to plan and organize work along with adapt to changing needs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical related major or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience
  • Certifications desired: NetApp NCIE or equivalent, MCSE, VCP
