    1. Course Development
    • Creation of new and updated technical courses, which includes PowerPoint presentations and storyboards/scripts.
    • Creation of exercises, quizzes and/or demonstrations using the applicable Aptean software.
    • Develop classes for both internal and external use for all new releases and upgrades.
    • Review and contribute content to the User/Reference Guides, if applicable
    1. Course Delivery
    • Produce technical training classes for the applicable Aptean software using the Camtasia software.
    • Deliver live, traditional classroom training, if applicable. 
    • Administer and maintain course registration and follow up correspondence.
      • Prepare and set up traditional training room for classes.
      • Refresh data for classroom demonstrations and exercises.
    1. Communications
    • Respond to follow up questions from classes or e-mails submitted by customers.
    • Monitor and respond to tickets submitted to the Education Department via the ticket management system.
    1. Technical
    • Maintain various product installs and updates.
    • Set up and maintain various virtual environments.
    • Assist team members with minor technical issues, if needed.
    • Learn technical components of various products.
    • Participate on committees/meetings that help build and shape the application’s functionality.
    • Learn new courses and features on a continual basis.
    • Assist in testing new releases and upgrades.
    • Learn and maintain knowledge of various departmental tools including recording software, virtual images, and product installs.
    • Other projects and duties as assigned by manager.

Skills & Requirements


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or Instructional Design; or equivalent technical and/or training experience.
    • Experience with the following is recommended: Windows Server, SQL Server, Oracle or Progress, and VMWare.  MCSE and MCT useful.
    • Possess an outgoing personality and comfortable with public speaking.
    • Have excellent presentation skills including development and delivery.
    • A strong voice with good diction, characterization, inflection, tone and microphone techniques is required.
    • Experience with Windows environment and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Possess a high level of technical and computer knowledge.
    • Ability to explain complex software solutions to users.
    • Ability to organize thoughts in a simple and logical sequence.
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
    • Ability to prioritize, schedule and meet deadlines.
    • Must be able to operate in high stress situations.
