At Tom Douglas Restaurants, we share the goal of “creating deliciousness served with graciousness.” That’s part of our mission statement, and it means we strive to make our restaurants the best they can possibly be, with the most delicious food and the best service. For the “deliciousness” part, our kitchens make as much food as possible from scratch including our breads and sandwich buns, pizza dough, fresh pastas, sausages, cured meats, smoked fish and all of our desserts, pastries, and ice creams. Our chefs search out the best ingredients and buy local and organic whenever possible, and all our cooks strive to keep their skill and technique levels sky-high, in order to exceed the customers’ expectations. As for “graciousness,” that means our service goes above and beyond, wowing the customers. Our front of house staff works hard on food and menu knowledge and enjoys sharing that knowledge with the customer. Both front and back of house staff love to show our efforts!
Are you an amazing dishwasher? Fast, focused, efficient and have a positive attitude? If so, we’re looking to hire strong dishwashers to join our team and support our kitchen. Great communication skills, a positive attitude is a must.
Properly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots. Responsible for maintaining dish area and dish machine. Assists with cleaning other areas of the restaurant as requested.
Can operate dish machines to company and manufacturer specifications.
Uses proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer in the dish machine.
Restocks all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans.
Removes all garbage.
Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes the dish machine at the end of a shift.
Keeps dish and other storage areas clean and organized.
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a Chef, Sous Chef or other manager at any time.
