Development Operations Engineer I

EMEA-PL-Katowice

The Development Operations Engineer I is responsible for participating in the effort of expanding the capabilities of our operations infrastructure. The Development Operations Engineer I will be a part of our Engineering team working closely with Quality Assurance, our Engineering Teams, and the Online Services team to build and automate our development lifecycle environment. Responsible for performance, quality, and test automation and work with multiple operating systems.

Responsibilities: 

  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and scale our Continuous Integration environment as needed
  • Design and implementation of Continuous Integration processes
  • Work and communicate effectively with Engineering, Online Services, Quality Assurance, Automation, Technical Writers, Product Owners, and all JAMF Software stakeholders
  • Maintain our production product release environment, including assisting with disaster recovery
  • Develop automation where appropriate to make processes used between teams more effective and efficient
  • Identify techniques and tools that will enhance the capabilities of the team to be more effective

Qualifications: 

  • < 2 Years Good knowledge of Jenkins, Bamboo, or other Continuous Integration Tools and Techniques (Required)
  • < 2 Years Strong skills in scripting languages; shell, VB Script, Python, etc (Required)
  • < 2 Years Knowledge of source control systems (Required)
  • < 2 Years Knowledge of issue tracking software (JIRA, Salesforce) (Required)
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Preferred) -  a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Organizational and Communication Skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical terms in an easy to understand, non-technical manner
  • Self-starter, energetic multi-tasker, highly motivated and team player
  • Atlassian Platform
  • Agile preferred
  • Strong knowledge in various operating systems: Windows server, Linux, Mac OS X
