Job Description

Overview:

Vista Consulting Group is the operating and consulting arm of Vista Equity Partners (www.vistaequitypartners.com), a private equity firm that specializes in acquiring software, data, and tech-enabled companies. The VCG team works in conjunction with the Vista investment professionals and key portfolio company employees to help current and newly-acquired businesses strengthen their operations through the implementation of standardized, repeatable and proven processes and methodologies.

We are searching for an Executive Recruiter to source candidates on behalf of our portfolio companies for executive and senior positions within their organization. Additionally, this role manages recruitment for internal VCG Director roles. The successful candidate will be able to attract first-rate executive talent and to ensure lasting and successful placements. The role is responsible for screening, interviewing, and recommending prospective employees for employment in executive or senior management positions. Responsible to work with executive search firms or other placement agencies to develop and maintain a highly qualified candidate pool. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The goal is to exceed our portfolio clients’ expectations and to add value to their businesses.

Responsibilities:

·         Partner with customers to get a clear view on their strategic and financial objectives and hiring needs

·         Devise and carry out a targeted research strategy

·         Research into client’s company, competitors and market place

·         Map role criteria, define position description and document specifications

·         Track and identify prospective candidates using a variety of channels

·         Assess candidates to ensure qualification match, cultural fit and compatibility

·         Conduct confidential interviews and follow-up references

·         Present shortlisted candidates and provide detailed profile summaries

·         Offer guidance to the portfolio companies in the compensation negotiation process

·         Follow up with clients and assist with the candidate’s transition and onboarding process as appropriate

·         Network and build long-lasting client relationships

·         Research and develop recruiting leads

·         Facilitate executive benchbuilding through identifying talent and nominating to the bench

Skills & Requirements

·         Experience working in a fast paced recruiting environment

·         Deep understanding and expertise of recruitment processes from prospect to offer 

·         Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software and candidate databases

·         Strong knowledge of candidate selection methods

·         Previous experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods

·         Excellent knowledge of area of expertise (market status, trends, best practices)

·         Client focus along with relationship building skills

·         Business acumen and market insight

·         Ability to partner with hiring executives and work in conjunction with their talent vision to build best in class teams 

·         Effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills

·         Integrity and confidentiality

·         Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision

·         Four-year degree from a top undergraduate institution
