Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Organize, direct and motivate district sales managers and sales staff to maximize their efforts in achieving sales goals assigned by senior management. 
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS:
  • Execute the Management by objective process by assigning specific goal to each district sales manager.  Devise the tracking system by sales manager and sales representative. Track and update objectives on a weekly basis to ensure sales organization meets corporate objectives.

 

  • Planning and developing sales programs for sales personnel by meeting with suppliers and senior management to coordinate resources and strategies to execute on corporate objectives.

 

  • Weekly evaluations of district sales managers performance by analyzing each district sales managers results versus the monthly objectives.

 

  • Monthly evaluation of district sales manager performance by conducting individual meetings with each member on the management team, providing coaching when necessary.

 

  • Audit and review sales trend analysis by reviewing past history and current sales activity versus the corporate objective.

 

  • Conduct weekly sales meeting by effectively communicating programs, strategies, policies, and sales objectives to the sales organization

 

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

 

 

Skills & Requirements
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages members of the team in a work unit, department or functional area. Responsible for providing effective leadership while fostering a positive team environment,; provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of organizational unit, department and/or functional area.  Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

This position requires a 4-year college degree or the equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 8- 10 years industry experience with District Sales Manager experience being  prerequisite.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

This position does require computer skills. Programs such as Diver, WordPerfect, excel and power point are required.

 

SKILLS:

This position needs leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as computer proficiency, being able to solve problems and handling customer service.

 

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES:

Ability to hold a Solicitor’s Permit is a must

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this position the employee must be able to occasionally move and lift up to 50 pounds. 

The associate frequently is required to stand, walk and sit, at a computer or in meetings.  The associate must regularly visit accounts, which may require exposure to inclement weather and lifting of cases and/or Point of Sale.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIORNMENT

 

While performing the duties of this position, the associate may be exposed to  outside weather conditions and internal office conditions.
