Job Description

We are seeking a high energy, motivated Associate Demand Planner in our Coxsackie, NY location.

POSITION SUMMARY
    
Individual will be analyzing the behaviors of materials throughout the product life cycle and communicating with sales managers and purchasing to adjust settings to assure accurate forecasts in order to maintain inventory levels.  Individual will work in the area of inventory management and is responsible for supervising the inventory levels between the warehouses and the outside storage locations based on strategic analysis of demand.  
    
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS
    
Understanding and maintaining forecasts and their appropriate settings.  Including updating forecast templates, entering monthly forecast changes, evaluating forecast models, and identifying forecast anomalies.

Review sales, demand, and market trends in relation to inventory volumes per warehouse.  Adjusting forecasts between the warehouses as necessary.

Participation in the monthly S&OP meetings and the evaluation of monthly KPI’s relative to goals, historical performance, and other S&OP houses.

Appraise new items including initial purchase requests, sales analysis with 90 day recap, and inventory availability.

Manage product life cycles by monitoring vintage and pack changes and making the required adjustments in SAP and communicating them to the buyers and sales managers.

Monitor inventory reduction materials by working with sales managers to adjust forecasts, status, and margin levels when inventory has depleted to an acceptable on-hand level.

Maintain forecast material memos with updated programming and sales status information.

Manage all aspects of transfers between the warehouses, and outside storage locations including communication with the warehouse, confirming and tracking volume per locations, and updating the required statuses in SAP. Overseeing off-sight inventories in relation to current needs and report to purchasing and the sales managers.

Purchases product for vendors on a limited basis.

Supervise the production of combo cases, and prioritize builds based on sales needs.

Validate buyer inquires on forecast.

Support the Demand Planner, assisting as necessary.

Skills & Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certifications and /or licenses:
    
    Bachelor’s degree in finance, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, statistics or related field.

Experience:
    
    Minimum 2 years of comparable inventory planning or data analysis experience preferred.
    
Knowledge/Skills:
Wine and Spirits Industry knowledge a plus.

Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer systems.
Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.  
Strong knowledge of SAP related to material/vendor master and has an affinity for working with data preferred.
Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pays attention to detail and meet deadlines.
