Job Description

We are seeking a Night Warehouse Administrative Assistant / Cashier -  Part time.

Schedule:  Tuesday - Friday, 4pm - 9pm

I. POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of the Night Warehouse Admin/Cashier position is to support the management of the Distribution Center operation as well as the accounting department as it relates to Accounts Receivable.  The incumbent will exercise discretion and independent judgment in the execution of a variety of programs intended to bring about a higher level of efficiency and customer satisfaction to the work product of the warehouse and delivery services of the Distribution Center operation.

The incumbent will work closely with the Returns Manager as well as various supervisors to collect, analyze or disseminate appropriate recordable data that will be useful in the overall improvement of the warehouse and delivery service offerings, and that ultimately increases customer satisfaction.

II. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS

• Scans all invoices and/or documents received from drivers by scanning into WebDocs software.
• Ensures all documents are returned by counting documents and comparing to Driver Manifest/SAP collections posting screen.
• Processes into and reconciles the checks from the invoices in SAP and provides key punch excel file to finance.
• Scan checks to the bank and verifies the total
• Maintains a professional team environment by communicating effectively with peers, office, salespeople, warehouse personnel, supervisors and manager.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations.

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certifications and /or licenses:

• High school diploma is required; and a 2-year college degree in Business Administration or Accounting (or equivalent) is preferred for this position
Experience:

• Two years of progressive experience in a customer service, administrative assistant or analyst position is necessary for this position.
Knowledge/Skills:

• This position requires demonstrable skills in computer aptitude, including ability to work with and develop spreadsheets and word-processing documents.
• This position requires basic accounting skills and the ability to enter long lists of checks.
• A professional demeanor is necessary as there will be many occasions that the incumbent will interface with co-workers and customers alike.
• The incumbent must be able to work independently as well as work effectively with other company operatives in cross-functional initiatives.

V. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The Coxsackie facility is more than 260,000 square feet.  Much of the interoffice communication between associates is by way of telephone and e-mail.  There are however some tasks that involve personal, face to face communication.  The incumbent will have limited required access to walk throughout the facility during the day to execute some tasks.

This job is performed in the warehouse dock office.
