Part Time to Full Time Security Officer/Guard

Would you like to work at a beautiful mountain resort in Stowe?  Do you love being active and outside?  This Security position is exclusive to one of the most well-recognized mountain resorts in Vermont.  Any qualified applicants will be trained and helped thought he Vermont Security Licensing Process.  This opportunity is for a night shift Security Guard, who will patrol, secure and assist guests at the resort.  We are looking for a great communicator with a positive attitude who will also be able to document and report out on the activities/events that occur each evening.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel
  • Enforces regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
  • Controls access to client site or facility through admittance process determined by client
  • Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations
  • Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents
  • Prepares logs and reports as required
  • Protects the confidentiality of the company and the client
  • Ability to complete a Vermont Security License using an online application
  • Ability to sign up for shifts using our online scheduling system
  • Checking e-mail for important company communications
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • All Security Officers must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive situations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Guest service oriented
  • Some Travel Required. Travel reimbursements available.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers
  • Physical requirements as follows:
    • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain
    • Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds
    • Ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 6 hours
